Fifth-graders complete public service announcements

Assignment focuses on keeping Earth clean

Technology, conservation, persuasion. All of these topics were hit upon during a recent fifth-grade assignment.

According to Jenna Johnson, fifth-grade teacher, all fifth-graders had to create a public service announcement using iMovie to persuade viewers to keep Earth beautiful by keeping it clean.

She said students walked around Silver Lake to take photos using iPads. After students collected their photos, they transferred them to laptops where students spent several days creating their iMovies.
