Homecoming 2021 Information

Tomorrow is Homecoming, so here’s a run-down of everything you need to know!

USD 372 is proud to announce our 2021 Homecoming King and Queen Candidates.

Homecoming 2021 Candidates: Taryn Burkhardt, Addison Martinek, Gracie Trammel, Camilla Ossola, Carson Johnson, Daigan Kruger, Brogan Renfro, Gannon Remer.

The queen candidates include: Taryn Burkhardt, Addison Martinek, Gracie Trammel and Camilla Ossola. The king candidates include: Carson Johnson, Daigan Kruger, Brogan Renfro, and Gannon Remer. They will be recognized during the Homecoming Ceremony before the kick-off of tomorrow’s high school football game against Rossville. 

If you want to catch up on all of the Homecoming events, but can’t attend in person then check out the Silver Lake Journalism Youtube channel. The candidate video will be posted on Friday and the pep rally, game, and ceremony will be live streamed. 

Here’s a list of all the times and locations for tomorrow’s Homecoming festivities. 

  • 8 a.m. – Students will view the Homecoming candidate video and vote for king and queen.
  • 12 p.m. – All students will be dismissed for the day. Lunch will be served prior to dismissal. Buses will run immediately after school. Please do not pick your student(s) up prior to noon.
  • 1 p.m. – Line-up for the parade will start for anyone in the parade. Parade line up will start at Highway 24 and Masche and continue along Masche. The parade route will head east on Highway 24/Railroad and continue to Rice Rd. It will head south on Rice Rd to Lake St, ending in the high school parking lot.
  • 1:45 p.m. The homecoming parade will begin.
  • End of parade – The pep rally will take place right after the parade at the football stadium. It will end around 2:15 or 2:30. The pep rally will be livestreamed by Silver Lake Journalism for those who cannot attend. 
  • 5:00 p.m. The Hall of Fame meet and greet will take place in the high school commons with the ceremony taking place at half time of the football game.
  • 6:35 p.m. Homecoming ceremony. The ceremony and game will be live streamed for those who can’t attend!
  • 7:00 p.m. Football kick-off
