Winter Royalty week begins

The start of second semester also kicks off Winter Royalty Week for high school students. 

Meet your Winter Royalty Candidates!

The queen candidates are Dakota Bottom, Elizabeth Jordan, and Lauren Rollenhagen. The king candidates are Ethan Brewster, Ahmed Farooqi, and Kale Frehe. 

All high school students will watch the candidate video at 8 a.m. on Friday. The video will feature photos, interviews, and recreations of viral videos by the candidates. The video will be available on the Journalism YouTube channel immediately following the assembly.

Get ready for Spirit Week dress up days!

The Winter Royalty Dress Up Days start on Tuesday, when everyone returns from winter break. The theme for each day is:

• Tuesday – P.J. Day. Wear your PJ pants and sweatshirts!
• Wednesday – Advisory Family Photo Day. Organize your advisory to snap a prize winning family photo. This is a contest with prizes to be awarded.
• Thursday – Teacher/Student Swap. Teachers dress like students and students dress like teachers!
• Friday – Spirit Day. Dress to impress everyone with your Eagle spirit!

Celebrate at the Winter Royalty dance!

Silver Lake High School presents a semi-formal dance from 8:00 p.m. to 11:00 p.m. on Saturday, January 8^th.

There will be music, dancing, a photo booth, and more!

The dress code for this dance is semi-formal. Outside date forms are required for out-of-school dates. The form is due no later than Jan. 4. Cost of admission to the dance is $5 for singles and $7 for dates.
