Senior Checklist and Senior Salute information

Posted Date: 01/21/2022

Although it’s only January, graduation is approaching before you know it!

The journalism department has several opportunities to help celebrate our seniors! We need a portrait of your senior to use in the senior section of the yearbook and a baby picture to use in the graduation video.

Senior Checklist

All seniors have the opportunity to use a senior portrait for their photo in the yearbook.

  • Portraits must be vertical and should include only the student.
  • Torso and up shots are preferred in order to print in the highest quality.
  • Yearbook portraits are due March 11.

Seniors may use the same portrait for the graduation video or submit a separate one.

  • The journalism department also needs a baby photo for the graduation video.
  • Graduation video photos are due April 8.

These images may be submitted digitally to sljournalism@silverlakeschools.org, sent to acrome@silverlakeschools.org by the portrait photographer, or dropped off at the high school office.

Senior Salutes

The Silver Lake High School yearbook staff is also giving you the opportunity to let your senior know how proud you are by purchasing a personal advertisement, a Senior Salute, for The Golden Eagle yearbook. This is a chance to use your words, photos, and memories to acknowledge your child’s accomplishments and express how you feel about this important transition in their life.

If you’re interested in ordering a Senior Salute for your student, please look over the order form below. Return the form by Friday, March 11 to reserve your space. Space may be available after March 11, but it is not guaranteed.
