Safety First: Transportation Update
Today, five State Troopers worked alongside three bus drivers, district staff, and our contract bus mechanic to complete the district’s annual fleet inspections.
In about one hour, the team inspected 11 buses and eight district vehicles. One additional vehicle is currently away with Student Council and will be inspected when it returns.
A traffic safety improvement was also completed at the grade school. The yield sign for departing traffic from the Prekindergarten and Kindergarten parking area at the front exit has been replaced with a stop sign.
Thank you to everyone who helped complete today’s inspections and continues working to keep our students, staff, and community safe.

🚌 School Bus and Vehicle Inspection 🚌
On Thursday, July 23, beginning at 7:30 a.m., the Kansas Highway Patrol will conduct required inspections of district school buses and vehicles.
Community members may notice Kansas Highway Patrol vehicles in the bus lot and near the Grade School while inspections are taking place. There is no cause for concern.
These inspections are an important step in preparing our transportation fleet and helping keep students safe throughout the school year.
