This week marks Officials Appreciation Week for winter sports. We want to take a minute to thank and recognize those who officiate our student athletics and activities. This is often a thankless job, but so important for our students to be able to experience competition at the junior high and high school levels. Thank you!

Finally, school is in session! We are excited to welcome back students and staff on Thursday, January 9th. There will, however, be limited bus service. Some roads have not been fully plowed yet, and some areas have considerable ice, which may keep our buses from getting to the areas. If you can bring your child to school, that would be greatly appreciated. Some intersections will still be slick if you have a student driver, so please remind them to take their time. Students will not be counted as tardy for being late. If you have a student who walks to school, please remind them to be aware that cars may not be able to stop as quickly as usual. AS ALWAYS, DURING INCLEMENT WEATHER CONDITIONS, IF YOU BELIEVE CONDITIONS ARE NOT SAFE ENOUGH FOR YOUR CHILD TO COME TO SCHOOL YOU CAN KEEP THEM HOME.

🎉 Congratulations to McKenna Harris, Jayci Klein, Kaelyn Worthington and Serenity Yoakum who recently graduated from Washburn Tech with the CNA certifications! These ladies completed their coursework at Washburn Tech, while also attending high school. 🎓🩺 #SLEagles

Our 7th grade girls basketball team went undefeated in the regular season, as they headed into post-season league tournament. They came up just a little short in the championship for a 2nd place league tournament finish! Great season girls! #SLEagles 🏀

🏀 Basketball Update for Rossville Tomorrow 🏀 Due to player injuries Rossville girls will not be able to play a C - Team game tomorrow. JV girls will only play two quarters. This will result in boys games in the auxiliary gym running ahead of schedule. Games will still start at 430 but the subsequent games will be played earlier.
