Preschool Program

PreschoolThe following information explains the preschool program and requirements at Silver Lake Elementary School.

 

~ Sessions are 1/2 day, morning or afternoon.

 

~ There are 3 different ways students may qualify to attend our preschool program:

     1.  Special Education (Eligibility Required)

     2.  At-Risk (Eligibility Required)

     3.  Peer Model placement:  Includes all in-district 4-year-olds as well as some openings for 3-year-olds

 

~ Tuition for Peer Model students: $50/Month

 

~  Mid-day transportation included for all students within the district.

 

~ 3-Year Old Program (morning session only): 4 days a week.  Placement available for special education students, students identified as At-Risk, and some openings for peer model 3 year old students.  

 

~ 4-Year Old Program (morning or afternoon sessions): 5 days a week (M-F).  Placement available for all 4 year old students living within USD 372 district, including special education, At-Risk, and peer model students.  Students must be age 4 by Sept 1 of current school year in order to attend.  1 day a month (typically the 1st Friday of the month), there is no preschool due to screenings and professional development.  

 

~ Out of District Applications - Students may be considered for out of district.  Acceptance depends on numbers and is not guaranteed.  Applications can be found on the district website.
