The following is important information from the school nurses.
We just wanted to send out a few reminders about Coronavirus prevention and information regarding the importance of social distancing and/or isolation. This is very important and should be taken seriously to help decrease the spread of ALL viruses.
WASH YOUR HANDS. This is the #1 way to prevent infections. 80% of infections are spread from the hands.
Wash with soap for 20+ seconds
If unable to wash hands, use alcohol-based hand sanitizer
Cover your mouth/nose with tissue or elbow when cough or sneeze
AVOID touching your face (mouth, nose, eyes are the easiest way for viruses to enter the body)
Avoid shaking hands, high fives or fist bumps (“air” high fives and “air” hugs are ok!)
Distance yourself from others (about 6 feet if possible)
Some people may show little to NO symptoms of the infection, but can still pass it to others (especially people at greater risk for complications like grandparents, parents, immunocompromised, medically fragile, etc)
***PLEASE see the link below regarding the impact and importance of this concept. https://www.washingtonpost.com/graphics/2020/world/corona-simulator/
As always, get plenty of rest, eat lots of fruits & veggies, drink plenty of water, and exercise daily.
More information from your 2 favorite nurses coming soon. The next one will be more entertaining! Take care and stay healthy.
We miss you all,
